The world famous Disney Studio has announced they will remove smoking from its range of family-oriented films, and Disney chief executive Robert A Iger explained that any displays of people smoking in future Disney-made movies would be "non-existent".

Kazahstan government has issued minimal prices for cigarettes and has increased minimal value for alcohol drinks, that had been accepted earlier. Corresponding issues had been published in “Kazahstanskaya Pravda” official newspaper last Friday. The article does not explain the reasons of that reconsideration. As reported by "Reuters", minimal retail price of a pack of cigarettes with filter 45 to 48 mm long is 40 tenge (about 0. 33 dollars), with filter 87-160 mm long is 50 tenge. Minimal retail price of one liter of alcohol drink is increased up to 357 tenge (about $3) (while previously it was 257 tenge). "Phillip Morris", its affiliate "Altria Inc", British "Gallaher" and Japanese "Japan Tobacco Inc" companies are the main traders of cigarettes in Kazahstan.
